Q: How is my sewer bill calculated?
A: Sewer bills are generated from the total water consumption per the readings from Pembroke Water Works. The 2012 rate is $7.60 per 1,000 gallons used.

Q: I have a deduct meter, how come I my sewer bill is so high?
A: Deduct meters are read once a year and the customer is issued a credit for the whole year. The deduct meters are read during the 3rd quarter. There is a $5.00 charge for reading of the meter.

Q: There is sewer backing up in my house, what do I do?
A: Call the Sewer Department (603) 485-5600 immediately. Someone will come out to see if there is a blockage in the main line or the homeowners line. If the blockage is in the main line, the sewer department will clear the blockage. If the problem is in the homeowners line, it is up to the owner to call a plumber and correct the issue.

Q: Can I pay my sewer bill on-line?
A: Yes, go to the tab on the right called sewer billing. At the bottom is a link to pay the sewer bill. Sewer bills can be paid either on-line, by mail or at the Sewer Department. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit/debit card.
